I once had a boss who severely impacted my life in a negative way with their management style and forced me to make a decision that would change my life for the better forever. My advice is don’t let one person impact your health or family, they don’t have that power believe it or not. Don’t be scared to make a change if it’s right for you, take your time, find what excites you then take a deep breath and step off the ledge. You’ll find that the step is not a fall but steps upward toward better overall mental health and improved family life. Choose YOU over a job, no matter how long you’ve been there or how much you think you’re invested in that job. I am living proof that one person cannot take control of your life or your family. They cannot change who you are as a person, as a father or mother, they really have no power at all.

I can speak to how amazing of a partner Early Alert Inc. is. For many years at The Home Depot we relied on their hyper accurate forecasting to allocate resources as well as to educate us on how a storm works and how to understand its behavior. Great job team, you are amazing at what you do and your reporting/education saved my bacon more than once 😁

I cannot even begin to explain how accurate this statement is, if you have to micromanage your direct reports then you either haven't trained them properly, communicated with them properly or in my opinion you are not the most qualified person to lead anyone. Let your people make mistakes, be there for them to help understand why it happened and what they can do to prevent it in the future. Trust your people and coach them if they make mistakes, the great ones will learn from them, the not so great ones will show up very quickly and then you manage the process.

I've been lucky to have spent my entire career to date with two companies on this list, great job to Sysco for being here and I can definitely now see why they are on it and of course I completely understand why The Home Depot is consistently on this list as well. If you find a job you love you are one of the lucky ones, most people tolerate their jobs but when you work for a company who actually seems to care about you it sure makes it a lot easier to make it every day. Congrats to my current and former companies for making this list

Awesome ammonia refrigeration classes Industrial Refrigeration Technical College (IRTC) I came in with 0 knowledge of how an ammonia refrigeration system works and left feeling a whole lot more confident around our system. Lived this for a lot of years, like trying to run in quicksand keeping up with them. Yet, many states are RAISING the felony theft threshold and they wonder why ORC has dramatically risen?
