Today is an exciting day at Chegg Inc. as we announce that, as of June 1, Nathan Schultz, Chegg’s Chief Operating Officer, will succeed me as our next President & CEO, while I step into a new role as Executive Chairman. Nathan joined Chegg 16 years ago and has been instrumental in building the company to where we are today. He has worn many hats during his tenure, from building out our textbook rental model, to launching our flagship Chegg Study product, to most recently, leading us through our product pivot to embed AI into the Chegg platform. I have had the pleasure of working closely with Nathan and our Board to plan for this inevitable succession, and we are excited about the future of the company under his leadership. As the company embraces AI and embarks on its next big growth opportunity, this is the right time for Nathan to lead Chegg into the AI era.       As someone who is deeply passionate about education, I am also honored to step into the role as Executive Chairman and look forward to continuing to work closely with Nathan and the team to help transform how students learn around the world. The personalized learning assistant we are developing will revolutionize how, when, and where students have access to high-quality learning support, and Nathan has been a visionary in helping build the technology to deliver on that promise.        Nathan, this is a well-deserved promotion and a recognition of all you have done to put Chegg in such a strong position to win. Arun Arunachalam, thanks for highlighting my 2016 talk at #ASUGSVSummit. Eight years ago, we sounded the alarm that higher ed needed to embrace the inevitable power and impact of technology, especially for scaling affordable access to education and workforce skills, and to acknowledge the need to support students' well-being and their increasingly complex lives. It’s clearer than ever that we can no longer overlook the advances in technology, including the transformative power of AI, that are reshaping higher education. Students certainly aren’t! If we get this right, we’ll have the capability to offer personalized support to every learner, tailored to their individual levels and goals. The trends are clear, the needs are clear. As an optimist my hope is the explosive impact of AI will jolt higher education to adapt to the current needs of today’s students. To meet this moment, however, academic, policymakers, and edtech communities must commit to work together to share knowledge, ideas, and best practices that put students first!    #LearnWithChegg

I’m thrilled to share the news that Cameron Brink, Chegg Inc.'s student athlete brand ambassador, declared for the WNBA draft today.    It’s been a joy cheering on Cam through her student-athlete journey at Stanford University. Cam is an All-American, three-time Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year, and two-time Pac-12 Player of the Year. Last year, she set the all-time record for blocked shots in the Pac-12.    In addition to making an impact on the court, she’s used her platform to make an impact in the world, tackling issues important to students such as mental health.    We are proud to partner with someone who exemplifies our mission of helping students achieve their best, and we’ll be rooting for Cam as she closes this chapter and starts her next one.    Congratulations, Cam!   https://lnkd.in/eFbdYuEr

Last year, Chegg Inc. launched the first global Student Mental Health week to destigmatize mental health among students and inspire conversations around what policymakers, education institutions, families, and the wider community can do to support students. We’re proud to bring back our initiative for a second year to shine a light on this issue, with special focus on the loneliness epidemic. Today, we announced the appointment of David Longo as new Chief Financial Officer of Chegg Inc., effective February 21. David has served in many roles since joining Chegg, and his leadership has already been a driving force in advancing our mission to harness AI to improve student outcomes. David, we are thrilled to have your leadership and expertise on our management team!    And I want to thank Andy Brown for an amazing 12 years of service to Chegg. We are grateful for the major role he played in transforming our company into the leading student-first learning platform.
