Don’t just tell people about your differentiators. Show them 👀 Here's a cool example from Cathay Cargo 👇 Think about it. If you have cargo you need shipped. What do you care about most? Making sure it arrives on time. So, instead of showing a generic picture of a flight crew or a picturesque image of a plane… They show a real image of one of their planes landing in thick fog and poor weather conditions. The first line in their ad: “We fly cargo - rain, shine, or through thick fog.” A clear and simple message. #productmarketing #positioning PS. Can you spot the lie ?? This is what I was asked to do by Indigo. As I mentioned in the previous post, my first flight was delayed by 4 hours . Now, the challenge for the cabin crew was, how to engage the passengers?? Here's the answer, The Air staff provided the passengers with complementary beverage. While I was enjoying my beverage, something caught my attention. Can you spot the lie ? Now was the time to evaluate my skills. And believe me, it took me somewhere around 10 - 15 minutes to get the answers (obviously with the help of Googlebaba😅 ) . Ultimately, Indigo was successful in engaging the passengers, even if, it maybe for small period of time. This strategy sounds to be of least importance, right ?? But, these are the strategies that help all these Airlines, to keep passengers calm and composed in different situations. You have never had a more captive audience of customers than when they are flying in an aircraft with you. ✈️ Literally, they have no where to go and no distractions. For a business, it’s a dream. 💭 So, the approach most airlines take is to sell you duty free products, try to entice you to buy expensive food and drink, or upsell you movies and media entertainment (including WiFi). 🛜 However, a few - like Southwest Airlines - take the chance instead to be human. To interact with customers 1:2:1 and with humanity at the core. To surprise and delight customers (whilst also selling food and drink). 😃 Instead of being transactional, you build a human relationship with your customers. they then become your fans, and your business grows. It’s probably worth building the human touch into your culture if you want to last in the market. 👨👩👦👦 #culture #customer #business

Normally I don't share such info in social media, but today I will ,about an incident that I experienced. Vistara is known as one of the top airlines in domestic space. It is a known, as well as an appriciated brand for its hospitality and on time services. But today due to sudden strike by pilots (that is what that was told by the ground staffs), almost all of it's flights were delayed by a few hours. For example, UK707 (scheduled time 17:30) is still not having any confirm clue about when to take off!! Hard earned brand image just gone to vain simply due to a wrong way of handling the internal stake holders and the lack of the correct way of communication to the external stake holders. Key lessons may be... 1. No matter how big the brand image is, the management should not be over confident and should not avoid to recognize internal stake holders voice. 2. I strongly believe, management's important role is to carefully llisten any concern ( small or big) of internal stakeholders and address the same or communicate rightly, keeping them in confidence. 3. Remember that, happy internal customers can only make external customers happy. Otherwise, no so called brand exercise can really work for long run. 4. Art of honest communication to the external stake holders is extremely important. Now good news is that after almost of about 5+hrs of waiting, the onboarding has finally started.

Yesterday I was flying back home from the vacation and found myself on a journey that would prove to be both an adventure and a testament to the importance of quality assurance. I, along with a group of excited passengers, found ourselves boarding a brand new state-of-the-art airplane. The plane was gleaming with its modern design, spacious interiors, and cutting-edge technology. I marveled at the amenities, anticipating a comfortable and swift journey. As I settled into my seat and fastened my seatbelt, the anticipation of taking off filled the cabin. However, the plane remained grounded, and the minutes turned into hours. The pilot came over the intercom, explaining that there was an issue with the plane's software, and it needed to be fixed before we could depart. Frustration and impatience began to brew among the passengers. I remained calm, knowing the importance of thorough quality assurance and understood how crucial it was to ensure that all systems on the plane were working flawlessly. As the maintenance crew worked diligently to resolve the software issue, I couldn't help but reflect on how QA plays a significant role in our life. From ensuring the safety of consumer products to the reliability of vehicles and infrastructure, quality assurance was the backbone of a functional society. Finally, after five hours of meticulous QA and software fixes, the plane was ready to take off. The pilot reassured the passengers that every system had been rigorously tested and that we could now proceed with confidence. As the plane took off, I couldn't help but smile. The delay, frustrating as it had been, was a reminder of the essential role that quality assurance played in my life and in society at large. By embracing QA principles, individuals and organizations could prevent costly mistakes, enhance safety, and deliver top-notch products and services. The embracing quality assurance isn't just about preventing problems but also about shaping a world where reliability, safety, and excellence are the standard.
