What goes around comes around.... About 17 years ago I was the lead negotiator when Dun & Bradstreet (D&B) sold their franchises for Scandinavia and Central Europe to Bisnode. Now D&B just announced that they entered into an agreement to acquire Bisnode. I wish both companies a successful and flawless execution of this deal, which I am sure will create one of the leading European powerhouses for Business Decisioning Data and Analytics. Incredible to think it was 17 years ago! It’s been such an interesting and fruitful journey. Being part of the partnerships team really was a rich learning experience and I wish everyone success as they consolidate.

David, that was one of a handful of deals you enabled back then (when “franchising” was the strategy). Who knew the skills you learned in those times would turn out to be your lifelong pursuit.

I remember it so well. I was leading the Global Customer Program back then, one of the then key assets in the crown. IMO Bisnode did an amazing job, but the consolidation makes so much sense again now, I do think D&B should move their Corp HQ to Sweden though! Or maybe even 🇨🇭?

3yOnce the former German chancellor Willi Brandt said: "what belongs together growths together." That is now necessary for Bisnode as well as for DNB, to build a strong unit as part of the world Data & Analytics business. It was the most exciting time for me, when I was HR Head of Central Europe for Dun & Bradstreet. I´m sure the deal will perform well. Good luck to all, who are actually working on it.
