Kunal Shah led CRED braces up to serve its customers in wealth management sector. -Later today #CRED announced the acquisition of Kuvera.in in a mix of cash and stock deal.(deal size hasn’t been disclosed) -#CRED is valued at $6billion and #KUVERA is valued at $100million. -This Acquisition when completes,helps #CRED to full-fledgedly allow its customers to invest directly into Mutual Funds,FD’s,Digital gold etc. -Kuvera.in founded in 2017 has an affluent 3 lakh active investors, with AUM of ₹28000Cr and AUA of ₹50,000Cr. Most of which is invested into Mutual Fund which earns them Zero Revenue. -#CRED may soon add potential game changing features to its application such as personal finance advisory and taxation advisory as it got the investment advisor (IA) from #KUVERA . (Interestingly cred applied for one, back in 2023 which is still pending for approval at SEBI) -#KUVERA on the other hand withdrewed its application which eyed to enter stock broking service. -#CRED has been constantly decking up to expand its horizons and adding up new verticals at a much faster rate, now it has Services ranging all the way from UPI to lending to P2P loans to wealth management etc. -Suprisingly #CRED earns its lion share of revenue from disbursing the loans, according to a source is has lended more than ₹ 12000Cr through #CREDCASH. -Both the companies have significant amount of losses as of FY23 ₹ 93Cr (KUVERA) & ₹ 1437Cr (CRED) -Suprisingly #CRED reported Rs 1,400 crore in revenue from operations for FY23, a 256 percent growth over the Rs 393 crore that the company reported in FY22. -After acquisition Kuvera.in will operate independently under #CRED to increase its network and distribution. -It’s Intresting to keep an eye on how CRED will monetise Kuvera.in , your views👀
