The team football shirt is sacred for fans. But it is also a branding opportunity for the club. As much as I love New Balance, I find the new AS Roma shirt by Adidas really beautiful. I like two things because they establish a direct relationship with the fans: 1️⃣ La Lupa ("The Wolf") A symbol of #roma and of the club. 👉 A logo that conveys belonging and history. 2️⃣ The words on the back of the shirt: 'Daje Roma Daje'. It means a sort of "Let's Go" in the local dialect. 👉 It is great for players to wear a message during the match that is so much a part of the local culture. ✅ The two Pillars of a football club I find that in this case the shirt was designed with a clear objective: 👉 To bind the two pillars of the club even more closely: ❗ Fans and Players. ✅ The numbers According to the local press: AS Roma should receive €5m per year from Adidas. The new ad for Noah x PUMA (agency: Chandelier Creative) is incredibly cheeky and totally hilarious! 😂 (viewer discretion recommended) It has an interesting idea: you could fit in, or stand out (with the Noah x PUMA range, of course). But, to land that idea, the narrative device used is phenomenally inventive, turning upside down a scenario that we have seen occasionally in sporting events, to hilarious effect. When the 'streaker' joins the crowd in the end by 'blending' in, play the ad again in your mind using the 'normal' scenario that we are familiar with. If that is a way to 'stand out', the ad seems to say that the Noah x PUMA range is also a way to stand out :) PS: As pointed out by Jonay Sosa, the Noah x PUMA ad's idea is exactly similar to a 2002 ad for Athletic Club sportswear!
