Chapter 10 about Relationships of the Transformation course was published today. This makes the course complete. #oldwork over-emphasizes individual skills and achievements while neglecting the critical importance of interpersonal connections. #newwork recognizes that the true value of teamwork lies in the relationships between individuals. It's in these connections that "1+1=3" becomes more than just a phrase, but a reality of collaborative synergy. As a lover of math, the statement "1+1=3" always slightly bothered me until I realized that in the context of collaboration, the plus sign (being the relationship) also adds value. Consider this: a well-working team of average people outperforms a dysfunctional group of brilliant jerks. Every time. Why? Because of the quality of relationships within the team.

Conflicts within a team can be disruptive, demotivating and negatively impact productivity. But it's important to remember that conflicts are a normal part of any team dynamic and can actually be a catalyst for growth and improvement if handled properly. To resolve conflicts within a team, open and honest communication is key. All parties should feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and concerns, and actively listen to each other's perspectives. By understanding the root cause of the conflict, the team can work together to find a solution that benefits everyone. Remember, conflicts are an opportunity for growth and improvement, as long as they are addressed in a constructive and collaborative manner. #teambuilding #teamculture #teambonding #work #growth #communication #productivity

Look for opportunities to use this word during team meetings, action planning efforts, and or business initiatives. TOGETHER increases intrinsic motivation. Dysfunction is easy.   Silos, poor communication, conflict, self-preservation, and blaming occur naturally. No effort required.   Ignoring these things won’t cut it. Hoping they’ll work themselves out on their own isn’t a strategy; it’s stagnation.   Building a high-functioning team is difficult. Collaboration, effective communication, understanding, risk-taking, and accountability all require an input of energy. Lots of it.
