“At Kryha, we’re driven by our mission to make Web3 accessible to everyone through the creation of convenient and compelling applications that put people first.”
Join us in welcoming Privilege, our newest Frontend Developer!🥳 We had a chat about his journey from 🇿🇦 to the 🇳🇱 and how he landed at Kryha. Check out our Q&A session below.👇
Q: Tell us a bit about yourself — what made you move to the Netherlands?
A: I’m born and raised in South Africa with Mozambican roots, my expat upbringing provided a thrilling blend of cultures with friends and family. After 25 incredible years in South Africa, moving to the Netherlands was a no-brainer. I live for constant learning and growth, so within a month, I sold everything, packed a single bag, and embarked on this exciting journey. To fully embrace the Dutch lifestyle, I traded my car for a bike — a perfect fit!
Q: What led you to join the Kryha team and what excites you the most?
A: My chain with the words 'Stay hungry, keep moving forward' reminds me to seek learning environments. This led me to Kryha, driven by their mission to make Web3 accessible to all. But to be accessible, a narrative needs to be achieved that can relate to people being introduced to the possibilities of Web3. As a front-end developer, designing a unique user experience is how I contribute to this mission that will push boundaries and shape an extraordinary future.
Q: Are there any exciting challenges/opportunities in the Web3 space you’re looking to tackle?
A: I'm particularly excited about tackling composable NFTs in the Web3 space. Think of it like your favourite outfit. It can be composed of leather shoes, cotton shirts, gold watches or necklaces and pants, and each part was transformed from the very raw materials they originate from. I see immense potential in using composable NFTs within the creator economy, allowing creators to share a part of themselves and redefine value in the digital world.
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?
A: Pontedera. Inspired by the movie "The Italian Dream," which portrays the founder of Vespa, I immersed myself in the Italian language and culture. This brilliant film captures post-World War II Italy, where hope and pride had waned. Vespa's invention brought accessibility to all. I yearn to visit Pontedera, where it all started, to experience the place firsthand and walk through its rich history in Italy.
