The #AsylumSeekerWorkAuthorizationAct would boost the U.S. economy by allowing asylum seekers to access the workforce quicker and uphold American values of welcoming immigrants with dignity. It would: ✅ Reduce backlogs ✅ Change the 180-day wait for asylum-based work permits to just 30 days ✅ Remove unnecessary renewals while asylum seekers await final decisions on their applications 📣ACT TODAY and urge your legislators to co-sponsor this law:

A Most Comprehensible and Logical Act! ------ 1. An Asylum Seeker is on the US territory. 2. He Has Filed an Asylum Application 3. After 180 days an asylum seeker is allowed to apply for EAD<Employment Athorization Document> if his case was not processed by an USCIS officer (Unlikely to happen due to the 1millon+ USCIS backlog: some Asylum seekers have been pending to be heard by an Immigration officer for more than five years or more) 4. Humanly speaking the Asylum seeker is a man created in God's image and who has basic needs including shelter food and all. 5. He will stay put untill 180 days to be able to apply to work---what is the magic of 180 days when HELP WANTED signs are planted on as many streets as you can see in rural, suburbs and towns! 6. It is useless a) to let someone struggles to have basics needs when preventing him to work/help b) when he has shown good intent by applying for Asylum to comply with legal presence in the USA c)when he will be allowed to work after 180 days anyway d)when the USCIS is short of resources to hear Asylum seekers' cases in a reasonable time and determines if they can be or can not be granted the asylum. I AM HERE TO CHAT IF YOU NEED TO...

The key is to consider what is really important to you. Is it healthcare? Or better human rights? That all plays a role.
