The Tianqiao and Chrissy Chen Institute (created by Shanda's founders) had a successful satellite meeting at this year's BCI Society meeting. Great to see that the "neurotech for mass populations" message was well received. Thank you Brendan Allison for penning this report. #bci #bmi #neuroscience #neurotech

TODAY'S QUANTUM BIOLOGY LESSON: Neural plate bending is controlled by isotopic variations in hydrogen. Hydrogen is the ultimate chameleon atom for morphogenesis in mammals. This is buried in the Quantum Engineering blog #42. Have a read. After the neuroepithelium has elongated in human embryology, it bends at specific points, allowing the prominences of the neural folds to come closer together and eventually close. Reference Greene and Copp The midbrain bends at both a medial hinge point (MHP) and a dorsolateral hinge point (DLHP); the upper spine at only an MHP; the mid-spine at both an MHP and a DLHP and the lower spine only at a DLHP. --------> Rostral = head caudal = spine in human development. When it affects the rostral end this is where autism can begin. Where the child is on the spectrum depends upon where the deuterium defect affects migration of the H+ in other cells during thalamic neurulation to create the hemispheres of the human embryo. I will also lay it out simply in next Wednesday's first-ever "Kruse for Dummies seminar for the Curious" at 11 AM CST. Join in by hitting the link https://lnkd.in/g3hJSE3Y
