This World Cities Day, we celebrate a century of excellence in urban planning and innovation. Our legacy shines bright through Jamshedpur, India's first planned city that is recognised by the UN as a Global Compact City. I am from Jamshedpur and this city is so well planned. Starting from drain, sewage management, water treatment to infrastructure all are well planned and managed. Compared to NCR where a slight shower of rain fills the gutters and all overflows in GGN, in Jamshedpur even day long rain seems easy to manage.

Tata steel is doing good.you will be remembered for ever for your good professionalism and excellent community development jobs.one of the best company to work with.

Congratulations on this remarkable milestone, Jamshedpur! The vision and dedication of Tata Steel have truly shaped a city of tomorrow that continues to inspire and set new standards. Let this milestone inspire the creation of more such cities that lead the way towards a brighter future. Best wishes from SPOTBID.

Yes, I used to joke with Jamshedpur Tisco group involved in KPO, that dont forget your psyche at Jamshedpur infra with 107+ yrs & 500+ odd vendor at your disposal vs KPO project speed intended at 32k crores plant. But for only Tata with 15+ lakhs population in Modern Industrial town in India comparative to Earliest other Batanagar, Annanalainagar, Modinagar, SAIL Bhilai Bokaro, Durgapur, Rsp, Walchandnagar ran below 1-8 lakhs only. Hardly ever been Tisco Corporate ever said it in Tistory etc, even by Lala! Sitting at kolkata with Tisco frst phase 1982-2013 exposure such is my comment with regards. Though as Bamnipal my EPC now Tisco ferro alloy such stories integration from British Bureau to NML is the widest Range per me.

I agree and congrats 💕

Home is where the heart is.

I worked in Tata Steel for about 40 years and Jamshedpur was my home during that period. My two children studied and brought them up there. A Well planned city with clean drinking water (could drink straight from the Tap), excellent roads, good markets, parks etc. Only lacking was Public transport.

As we remember 3rd March in 60s we used to go to school at around 4am and make a line , from school to jubilee park where we pay homage to founder and return back we get toffees in school. those are the golden days
