For skills to be usable in an organization, they need to be transparent. Last week, Handelsblatt reported on a new German law that allows people who have been working for years without a formal professional qualification to have their qualifications certified. A good step that makes work experience and skills visible and provides greater transparency - and a great lever to address the skills shortage by supporting skilled workers on further employment opportunities or qualification paths. 👏 At Infineon Technologies, we are working intensively on the topic of reskilling and upskilling our employees and are moving in a similar direction with a special program that we have been running at the #Warstein site for some time: Production employees who are older than 25 and do not have a vocational qualification can complete a two-year retraining course to become production technologists. The content of the vocational training is taught in individual, shorter modules and supplemented by alternating assignments in the company. After a pilot phase and the first trainees, we can say: it's worth it! Motivation and appreciation are high, and the intergenerational exchange in the program is an invaluable benefit. More to come! Are there any other best practice examples of #qualification and #upskilling in your organizations? I link to the Handelsblatt article in the comments. #LifelongLearning #bluecollar #shopfloor Martin König, Jessica Richter, Marielle Effenberger

Adopting a future-focus starts with listening to a lot of future-focused thought leaders across the globe. There are some excellent conversations occurring around the world about the internet, #techforgood, #AI etc - the thought leaders (like Amy Sample Ward) who show up in those conversations are great #FolxToFollow. #FuturismBuildsABetterFuture

"What does an Internet built on the values of sovereignty, safety, and freedom look like?" This is the question that is written at the top of my white board here in Berlin where I'm a Robert Bosch Academy Fellow for the next few months. I think about this question a lot already but I'm so excited, grateful, and motivated for the opportunity to really have time and space to explore it more actively. What are your thoughts? Who should I talk to? Who should I meet? Tag and share and send those intros!
