How do LCA and Circular Economy relate to each other? Their relationship is important and if you are a #sustainability professional, it is definitely worth your while to take a closer look at this paper! It is a hot topic in the sustainability landscape and various workgroups on European level are formed.
We published a paper about LCA and Circular Economy earlier this year which brings light to how circularity looks like in supply chains. The link to the paper is here: https://lnkd.in/e9-_yvf8 Spoiler alert: it is pretty circular, but there is room for improvement, the point is where is the hotspot of linearity and how can circular strategies really improve a circularity score. You can now quantify this with the use of a database that combines LCA and circularity indicators: https://lnkd.in/edx99vBg We used the circularity indicators MCI from Ellen MacArthur Foundation and the CI from Jonathan Cullen.
