Fastidiousness in success

In life being fastidious is a very important quality which is hardly thought of. Fastidious means acting with careful attention to the right required details.

After reading the word fastidious, we would wonder what does it mean? One meaning is having careful attention to things and being insistent for righteousness.

The Fastidious One means being hard to please or someone who is insistent for righteousness i.e. What is correct,  What are the correct principles, What are the  correct values, correct things? Righteousness is the state of moral perfection of what is right. We need to ask ourselves one question today, AM I DEMONSTRATING FASTIDIOUSNESS in my personal life, in my self development and AM I doing the right things?  Am I a person who is insistent for righteousness ? Whoever has read the Bhagvat Geeta knows that Lord Krishna's message to Arjuna was crisp and clear – “Uphold Righteousness”. Righteousness is a way of living that is guided by conscience. 

Recently I witnessed a situation. A young boy had joined the security services of our neighboring building (part of our housing society) as a security guard. He was a bright young boy- would be 20-21 years old. The security supervisor posted him in our neighboring building. The security restroom and society office are adjacent. While I was going into the society office for work, I heard someone say, ‘Come on, let’s drink today to the entry of this young man to our group!’ They poured out the desi Rs 20 bottle and handed him the glass.

“He said, ‘No, thank you, I do not drink.’

“‘Well,’ said a old security member, ‘we're not going to have any nondrinkers in our group.’

“‘Well,’ said the young boy, ‘you'll have one if you have me.’

Another seized him by the collar and said, ‘Young man, you'll have this desi either inside or outside!’

“Very well, I came here with a clean uniform and a clear conscience. You may soil my uniform if you wish, but you shall not soil my character.”  Hearing this I intervened from outside and supported that young guy. The fellow who seized him by the collar was asked to leave from there immediately and suspended from duties from our society. 

The reason of sharing this example is that is what I mean by being Righteousness.

Righteousness implies a state of moral integrity and honesty; Think – Am I someone who is insistent for righteousness?  Am I someone who has fastidiousness ?
