Four reasons why you shouldn't give up hope even when it seems hopeless

Four reasons why you shouldn't give up hope even when it seems hopeless

I’ve had my fair share of bad days. Everyone has them.

The truth is that life can be downright difficult sometimes. But one thing I learned is to never give up hope even when it seems hopeless.

Here are four quick tidbits about my changed mindset when problems come knocking on the door,

God is at work and is above all things
God can assist you with life.

[1] God’s got me through some things so….

More than likely He can get me through other things again.

Seems simple but, imagine a God who can “do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us…” Ephesians 3:20.

We minimise God a lot. Even those who believe, like really believe in Him.

Do you know that He created the entire universe and everything in it… including you?

Do you know He has time in His hands and can know when something will come before it appears?

And you consider Him to be a good God, right?

So that means we should be trusting enough to realise that God would not bring us to something He doesn’t have the capacity to carry us through.

We theoretically know these things but it’s the application that beats us most times.

difficulties and issues of life
Life difficulties and issues are meant to be solved

[2] I’ve faced similar difficulties before, so…

Then I have the right knowledge and experience to overcome it, if it comes around again.

Seems simple. But have you had any of these things happen to you before?

1. Illness,

2. Seen a loved one ill,

3. Finances run dry

4. Death of a loved one

5. Friend distances themself

6. Lost a job

7. Got into a bad argument

8. Changed where you live or have to move to a different country

9. Lost out in a relationship

I’m sure if you touch adult life these things will affect you. So use the tools and knowledge gained from the last experience to help you to manage the current one. If it’s your first time, ask someone who’s seen it before to assist you.

God sees and understand all things
God, the ultimate source, has all knowledge.

[3] God knows more than me, so…

If I have no clue what’s going on and how to figure it out, He does.

Seems simple right? But know that: “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:8-9

Life's challenges can be overcome
Like a chess game, you've got to figure out hard things to deal with life's challenges.

[4] I can do hard things, so…

I must can find a way to solve this new issue or get some assistance to sort it out.

Oxford Languages in Google tells me

Problem

Pronunciation: /ˈprɒbləm/

noun

plural noun: problems

1.

a matter or situation regarded as unwelcome or harmful and needing to be dealt with and overcome.

Example: "they have financial problems"

Synonyms: Difficulty, Issue, Trouble, Worry, Complication

..........

So it simply means it’s an issue we need to deal with. God will give us the energy to overcome it.

Also, we always negate help if it comes sometimes because we prefer to be independent in our difficulties and troubles. But you don’t have to be a superhero. Gain advice and help where possible. And get in tune with the rhythm of solving your worries in life.

And it is a rhythm. One smart man said somewhere, “you’re either in a problem, coming out of one, or going into one.” Life never leaves you immune from complications, so might as well get cracking to work them out.
