Coming from humble beginnings, General Walker grew up on the southside of Chicago. He has lived an inspiring life. Not only is Walker in a position to make impactful decisions but his career is also an opportunity to empower others and demonstrate strong leadership.

As the first African-American to hold the position of U.S. Sergeant at Arms, Walker believes that his success will empower a new generation to pursue their dreams.

Angola:

The United States Under Secretary of Defense for Policy, Dr. Colin Kahl, and Minister of State and Head of the Military House of the President of the Republic of Angola, Francisco Pereira Furtado, met in the Pentagon near Washington D.C. on April 8 to discuss the United States – Angola defense partnership.

The two sides intended to seek ways to update the 2017 Memorandum of Understanding and to continue to strengthen their bilateral defense partnership.

Ethiopia:

Fitsum Arega has held the position of Ethiopia’s ambassador to the United States since April 2019. Prior to being nominated ambassador to the United States, Fitsum was the Director General of the Ethiopian Investment Commission and the Chief of Staff for Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed. Now, he’s crying out, and urging the United States to support Ethiopia and not sanction the East African nation.
