We come empty handed but we return with so much of wealth

The World is the place where we come to experience and learn because we come here with nothing in our hands but the most important character of this world is that it is bipolar in nature. Each moment there are two choices for every human being. He can choose love or he can choose fear. Also God has given free will for everyone. As it is said in Bible, everyone is born with sin (liability of past karma) which means when someone is a human being he always has some false beliefs and he tells some lies to himself. He chooses fear over love when he has false beliefs. He chooses darkness over light or being poor over rich.

Every human being is born with his or her own luck and the choices can be being born in a rich family or a poor family. As Bill Gates said " If you are born poor it is not your mistake but if you die poor it is your own creation" Every person has choice to become rich with God’s help but he has to create some value for himself in this world so that he can demand that value from those who can afford to give.

But whether he has the faith this way also he only chooses. As this world is a place of experience there is a lot of fear, a lot of darkness and also poverty. That is because light has value only in darkness and thus even a person who brings out candle light has value in this world. The world is in such a way that every act of love is valuable as there is a lot of fear. And God exists in love. It is a person’s choice whether to take God’s help or not. Only a person who has experienced God can understand the truth about God.

What I think is interesting about this topic is that throughout all of human history, there were some people who were rich and others who were poor. Some were happy and some were suffering. Yet it didn’t make the believer in those days question the existence of God. I guess that the higher power doesn’t consider it necessary to even out all income differences. Why should it be? Nowhere in the holy scriptures I’ve read does it state that God gives to everyone equally “according to their needs”.

All I know is that my life right now is pretty good and I’m grateful for it. We built a society based on trust, morals, sharing wealth and cooperation and as a result got a society were even the poor can feel wealthy because they are not lacking in anything important. Maybe rich countries deserve to be rich, with populations that deserve to be rich, while poor countries deserve to be poor.

I recall a Saudi I saw in a video clip: “God gave us the oil”. Maybe God did give them oil, but if they don’t act responsibly with it, the oil money will run out and they will be left with nothing. It seems to me that people are often given chances. Some are given many, others are given few. It may only happen a few times in life. We have a totally free will on whether to accept them or not.

Some countries as well as political leaders may be in the same situation. They can chose to care about the population or they can chose to ignore the population and make themselves wealthy. After the choice has been made, it may be much more difficult to change the direction for several years, maybe not until a crisis hits. Only then will it again be possible to take a new decision. We are, in a way, all connected and can chose how other people will feel. That’s what free will is about. We can chose to hurt or to help others. Societies act the same way but on a larger scale.

Wealth is only useful when there are people in need. If all people are equally rich, what will you do with your abundant wealth? You want to eat and buy everything you desire. But how will you buy things if there are not people who need to work anymore to produce things? Who will desire your money if all people are rich already? You are able to get everything you want. But who will serve you and treat you like a king if all people are kings?

In a perfect equal wealthy society, give and take which denote inter-dependant relationship among humans, would definitely be extinct. Consequently, you cannot get anything useful because nobody needs you and nobody needs what you are able to give. You will be died eventually. God wills some people to be rich and some others to be poor. Balance is the point so that each person can contribute something. Rich people can contribute with their money, poor people can contribute with their works or thoughts or companionship.

And all humans are always in state of lacking something. You may have much money but lack other things in life. You may have many things in life but money. All humans are in need, and this need can only be fulfilled by the help of others. Some people are lucky to be born rich, some born with brilliant mind and have talent, some are born beautiful… and others born opposite to that… people born to be wealthy tends to do good, while the other born to suffer tends to do bad.

Yet, life is very much unfair. What can I say about this is, if you were born poor, believe in god, pray to him, pray that you can endure the pain and suffering. But don't pray for a miracle, never pray for miracle for you will put your hope in that prayer, hoping that he will listen to you, he will not for sure, that is the reality. God is like your college professor, the people are the students, some are wiser than the other and can graduate. And some are dumb and idiot, they can ask for the professor to pass them. But he knows whom to pass and whom to fail according to their merit only.

God is actively interfering in history. God has a purpose on doing so that is to maximise the number of people who are saved to eternal life. All God is doing is done after considering how it would affect salvation. He could of course answer a prayer like: Please, give me a bike by giving a bike to the person in need of a bike, but God is not aiming for wealth distribution here and now. He is aiming to save as many humans as possible.

Also God has a plan to maximise salvation. We all have a role to play in the plan. When we refuse to play along with God and do what he had planned for us to do, we cause a deviation from Gods plan. Any deviation demands God's interference to compensate for our misdeeds. God will make a new plan. The new plan is likely to include more sufferings then the original plan. But one has to work hard and survive and grow in this whole world.

There is a legend about Alexander The Great who asked to be carried to his burial place with both hands hanging out from the coffin so everyone could see that he doesn't take anything with him to the grave. KISHORE SHINTRE, thank you for sharing inspiration!
