WHAT IS REBONDED FOAM?

From trash to Gold!

In the processes of flexible polyurethane foam to make mattresses, pillows, protection foams, etc. a lot of waste is created, which can go up to 30 years to naturally degrade.

So, what to do with all that useless foam?

How about if we help the environment and make the world a bit cleaner by using it for something?

With that line of thought, the rebounded foam was created. Recycling shredded scrap foam with a liquid polyurethane added bonding the scraps together while being compressed into a block. That's it! Now we have a rebonded foam. A dense open-cell foam that provides a firm, solid support base and holds its shape well without sacrificing longevity.

Rebond foam is popular for a wide range of applications because it’s resilient, lightweight, mildew resistant, and sound absorbent, its density may vary on factors as thickness, scrap used, and others.

To help the industry achieve the optimum performance in rebonding foam. RESIBRAS - COMPANHIA PORTUGUESA DE RESINAS PARA ABRASIVOS, S.A. and AGLUTINA developed a composite to perfectly bond together shredded scrap foam, with a balanced formulation in order to guarantee quality and efficiency.

I'm curious if you can use rebonded chip foam to make a new block of rebonded?
