Known as one of the Marvel universe's protagonists, Dave Bautista recently joined the cast of films such as 'Daggers in the Back: The Mystery of Glass Onion' and 'Knock at the Cabin'.

In the last few days, Bautista has taken many by surprise with his remarks on being compared to Dwayne Johnson. In a recent interview with the GQ magazine, the Guardians of the Galaxy actor made clear that he never tried to become the next Rock.

"I never wanted to be the next Rock," Bautista noted.

"I just want to be a good f***ing actor. A respected actor."

Complained about his Marvel character

Meanwhile, Bautista also explained why he has been relieved to bid farewell to his Guardians of the Galaxy character, as the third volume of the Marvel movie will be the end of Drax the Destroyer.

"I'm so grateful for Drax. I love him. But there's a relief [that it's over]," Bautista added.

"It wasn't all pleasant. It was hard playing that role. The makeup process was beating me down. And I just don't know if I want Drax to be my legacy - it's a silly performance, and I want to do more dramatic stuff."

Bautista broadens his horizons

In the upcoming movie, 'Knock at the Cabin', Bautista worked alongside director M. Night Shyamalan. He plays a mysterious man who shows up at the cabin where a family is spending their holidays.

There, he will ask the guests to make a decision in the face of a dilemma for which millions of people could lose their lives.
