HAWAIIAN GOLDEN-YELLOW CONE  

Common on reefs, tidepools, and sand pockets to 15 feet.  Spire is low and smooth, aperture purple.  Shell is golden yellow with white mid-body spiral and purple base.  Attains 2.5 inches.  Animal is tan mottled with brown, siphon banded with black and yellow.  Endemic to Hawaii.  Formerly reported from Hawaii as the Indo-Pacific Conus flavidus.
