"I don't know, but if I was on TV all the time, I might try to look as good as I could. He and Pedroia have to be two of the ugliest players in the major leagues and do themselves no favors with the grubby look. I thought I sweat easily, Youkilis sweats constantly, no matter what he is doing. The worst is when he is out in public and tops it all off with the awful fashion of the 'scally cap.' "

And it must be a distraction for Youk to constantly be wiping his brow while at bat. I don't understand why he doesn't wear a 'do rag' or something..."

"as a lifelong sox fan and a huge youk fan, it gives me a geat deal pleasure to know youk decided to give a full beard a run at the same time i decided to let mine grow out, for the first time in my life, summer weather notwithstanding. i'll take that as a positive omen. wouldn't it be something for youk to look up in the stands and see a bunch of guys with beards looking back, but maybe that's too much to ask."
