President
David A. Muncy is a graduate of the University of Baltimore School of Law and a partner at Plaxen Adler Muncy. David joined the practice in 2012 upon graduating from UB. Since then, he has dedicated his practice to representing people injured in motor vehicle and premises liability cases, injured workers, and disabled people seeking Social Security benefits.
He has been named Rising Start every year since 2017 by Maryland Super Lawyers. David has been on the Board of MAJ since 2016 and chaired the New Lawyers and Auto Negligence sections, and also frequently testifies in Annapolis on behalf of MAJ. David lives in Woodstock with his wife and daughter.

Gwen-Marie Davis is the founding and managing partner at GDH LAW Firm. She received her law degree from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 2006, after which she was a judicial clerk in the Circuit Court for Baltimore City. She worked in a small law firm in Montgomery County, Maryland and eventually started her firm in Lanham, Maryland. Gwen-Marie has been admitted to practice law in Maryland, on both state and federal Levels. She is also licensed in the District of Columbia and has been sworn into practice law in the U.S. Supreme Court.

Michael J. Winkelman of McCarthy, Winkelman, Mester & Offutt, LLP practices civil litigation in state and federal courts throughout Maryland and select other jurisdictions, having tried over one hundred cases to verdict before judges and juries. He has extensive appellate experience having argued cases in front of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, the Maryland Court of Appeals and the Maryland Court of Special Appeals.

Patrice Meredith Clarke focuses her practice on representing plaintiffs in medical malpractice litigation who have sustained injuries as a result of medical negligence. Ms. Clarke also serves as defense counsel to attorneys in legal malpractice suits and coverage counsel in litigation involving insurance disputes. Ms. Clarke is a graduate of the College of Charleston and the University of Baltimore School of Law. Ms. Clarke is an active member of the Maryland State Bar Association, the Maryland Bar Foundation, the Anne Arundel County Bar Association, the Maryland Association for Justice, the American Association for
Justice, and the American Bar Association, and is the co-editor-in-chief of the Editorial Board of MAJ’s Trial Reporter.

Emily C. Malarkey is a graduate of the University of Maryland School of Law and a partner at Bekman, Marder, Hopper, Malarkey & Perlin, LLC in Baltimore. She joined the firm in 2006 after completing an appellate judicial clerkship for the Honorable Sally D. Adkins on the Court of Special Appeals. Since then, she has developed a busy practice in the areas of medical negligence, wrongful death and other catastrophic injury. Ms. Malarkey has tried many complicated medical negligence trials, including three with verdicts in excess of $2 million. She also has represented clients in numerous appeals that have gone on to create published law and has been named a Rising Star in every edition of Maryland Super Lawyers since 2010. In addition, to serving on the Board of Directors of MAJ, she is also a member of the Maryland State Bar Association's Appellate Practice Committee. She lives in Timonium with her husband and two children and in her spare time, pretends to be a runner and aspiring chef.
