Lanshaw Delves 04
Lanshaw Delves 04 submitted by Rich32 : Screenshot of a photogrammetric model of 'Lanshaw Delves 05' on ERA, showing additional features including shallower depressions and possible morphology utilisation. All could be entirely natural though. The larger depression was initially identified during CSI: Rombalds Moor Project recording. (Vote or comment on this photo)

Lanshaw Delves 05
Lanshaw Delves 05 submitted by Rich32 : Stone found during CSI:Rombalds Moor Project recording and added to ERA as 'Lanshaw Delves 05'. This stone was initially recorded has having a single possible cup. However, recent processing of CSI photogrammetric imagery, suggests other smaller depressions are present and hint at the possibility of rings, or utilisation of the stones morphology to create rings. These features aren't definit...

A rock with cup-like depressions, possibly natural. Found within cairn material. From the info available, this was thought to be the most likely candidate previously recorded as IAG340. Image captured 1/9/2009

This rock is recorded as having a cup and ring with a groove and a further groove. However, the ring appears to have been created by placement, utilising natural elements of the rock and carving to complete the ring. In the background is 'Lanshaw 07 / IAG341...

Lanshaw 01
Lanshaw 01 submitted by Rich32 : The Lanshaw Stone, recorded as Lanshaw 01 on ERA (due to naming conventions) and IAG334 in Boughey and Vickerman's 2003 publication 'Prehistoric Rock art of the West Riding'. Still from a photogrammetric model using the 'radiance scaling' filter. Both the CSI/ERA and IAG records mention 2 incomplete rings, but the 3D models shows 2 complete rings and the possibility of another 3 cups which ei...

Lanshaw Lass
Lanshaw Lass submitted by andy_h : Although this fallen boundary stone is thought to be Saxon in origin, I've included it here for the reason that it occupies the centre point of the long edge of the isosceles triangle formed by the Backstone Circle, Twelve Apostles and the Grubstones and maybe a replacement for an earlier standing stone in this spot. There are also hints of being a sunrise marker. SE1320 4545
