what is the difference between CANAL RAYS and CATHOD RAYS?

nd what are those?

1. Cathode rays are a stream of electrons originating from cathode when high voltage electric potential is applied to the electrodes sealed in a glass tube containing gas.
Anode rays (Canal rays) are beams of positive ions that are created by certain type of gas discharge tubes using perforated cathode on passing electric discharge at low pressure.

2. Cathode rays are electrons move from cathode to anode.

Anode rays (Canal rays) are positive ions move from anode to cathode.

3.Canal rays travel in opposite direction from cathode rays.
