Rarely-seen ex-Baywatch star Yasmine Bleeth, 55, steps out in LA to run errands

Former Baywatch star Yasmine Bleeth sported effortless style as she headed out in Los Angeles while running some errands with a friend.

The actress made a rare outing in California dressed in a youthful pale denim jumpsuit with a pink t-shirt layered underneath as she headed to Whole Foods Market with a BurgeonNest dog car seat she appeared to be returning to the store. Carrying a white tote bag and wearing her hair in a ponytail she strolled along in beige Birkenstocks keeping her makeup low-key for the trip.

Yasmine, 55, later headed with her friend to The Original Farmer's Market where they stepped in to Charlie's Coffee Shop. New York-born Yasmine has rarely been seen in public since she quit acting 20 years ago. She was a household name in the 90s when starring alongside Pamela Anderson, David Hasselhoff, and Carmen Elektra in Baywatch.

Yasmine played lifeguard Caroline Holden in 72 episodes of the hit show, winning herself an army of adoring admirers. However, she wasn't immune to problems in her personal life and ended up in rehab in 2000 for a cocaine addiction.

One year later the star was arrested when she was caught driving on the median of a highway in Michigan with syringes of injectable cocaine in her car. When police then searched her hotel room close by they found further drug paraphernalia and cocaine.

Yasmine has previously been very open about her struggle with addiction and in an article in Glamour magazine in 2003 where she admitted "consciously trying to stay off drugs is now part of my life and always will be". She met her husband Paul Cerrito while in rehab.

The couple celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary in August. She previously discussed their relationship, admitting they went against advice by falling in love with someone who was also undergoing rehabilitation.

She said: "They say you shouldn't get into any relationship in the first year of sobriety - especially with someone in the program, but Paul and I fell in love immediately." Prior to being married Yasmine was linked to famous faces including Friends star Matthew Perry, Police Academy actor Steve Guttenberg and Baywatch co-star David Charvet.
