Pistons Fan Feedback: Rodney White was one of the Pistons' worst draft picks ever

Rodney-White.jpgDefense was far from being the strong suit of former Pistons' forward Rodney White, seen here trying to defend 38-year-old Michael Jordan in 2001.

MLive.com readers aren't so sure Darko Milicic was the worst draft pick in Detroit Pistons' history.

Many think Rodney White deserves that label.

In a recent story picking the five worst draft picks the Pistons have ever made, Milicic finished No. 1 followed by Sonny Dove (No. 4 in 1967), Bob Nash (No. 9 in '72), Terry Driscoll (No. 4 in '69) and Leon Douglas (No. 4 in '76).

Milicic was the No. 2 overall pick behind LeBron James and immediately ahead of Carmelo Anthony, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade in 2003.

But a lot of readers think White should have been somewhere on the list if not at the top of it in front of Milicic.

The Pistons' selected White with the No. 9 pick in 2001 and he played just 16 games as a rookie before being traded to Denver the following season.

White lasted four seasons in the NBA, playing 218 games but starting just 21 for the Pistons, Denver and Golden State while averaging 7.1 points and 2.2 rebounds.

Here's what some readers were saying about our list in general and White in particular:
