Always first to announce the latest Springfield scandal on his "Eye On Springfield": nuclear warning; school closing down; kidnappings, etc. Won the lottery and turned up the news with a huge gold medallion round his neck. During a satellite link-up with Homer in space, a load of ants escape and float about the spaceship. Brockman hooks into satellite linkup, sees a screen sized ant and immediately surrenders to "our glorious antmasters." Says: "Hi, I'm Kent Brockman" and "Tax Fraud!"

Kent Brockman (Kenny Brockelstein) (born October 25, 1939) is a local TV news 'personality' for Channel 6. He hosts the Channel 6 weekday news (Scott Christian is the weekend news anchor and Kent's fill-in) as well as Smartline, a local current affairs show, and also Eye on Springfield, which focuses mostly on Springfield's entertainment news. He also is a failed musician who toys with the idea of being a math teacher.
