Species Description
Adults are attached to substrate. Scallop has thick valves with prominent rib. Diameter of shell reaches 200 mm. SAMPLING CODE NOTES: _ _ _R=Recruit <2.5 cm.
Species Habitat
Juveniles are not attached to substrate.Common in rock crevices.
Species Range
Low intertidal to 45 m subtidal; Queen Charlotte Islands, British Columbia, Canada to Punta Abreojos, Baja California, Mexico.
