The National Association for Business Economics (NABE) and Deutsche Bundesbank will co-host a global economic symposium arranged around the theme Strengthening Growth as Globalization and Technologies Evolve. The event will take place at the Deutsche Bundesbank Conference Centre in Eltville am Rhein, Germany (located near Frankfurt).

The conference begins on Monday, 11 May at 1:30 p.m. (with an optional lunch prior to the meeting from 12:30 p.m. onwards) and is expected to end at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, 12 May 2020. Registration will start at noon at the registration desk close to the conference room. 

This is the sixth global symposium to be co-hosted by NABE and the second co-hosted by the Deutsche Bundesbank; the first was conducted May 2015 in Munich, Germany in conjunction with the Deutsche Bundesbank, the second was conducted May 2016 in Paris, France in conjunction with the OECD, the third was in May 2017 at the Banca d'Italia in Rome, and the fourth was conducted in April 2018 at Banco de Espana in Madrid, Spain, and the fifth was conducted in Stockholm at the Riksbank.

Hotel / Travel Details

All sessions will be held at the Deutsche Bundesbank Conference Centre in Eltville, near Frankfurt am Main, Germany. The Conference Centre is situated on the western outskirts of Eltville, about 50 kilometres from Frankfurt am Main, and is readily accessible by train (Frankfurt am Main/Wiesbaden/Koblenz train lines) or by car. Complimentary single occupant sleeping rooms are available at the Conference Centre for registered attendees. If you are looking to use one of the complimentary rooms, register soon to ensure your spot and indicate your plans in the travel itinerary survey, linked in the confirmation email. There are limited number of rooms available on Tuesday, May 12.  Most attendees will depart for Frankfurt airport or train station using the complimentary shuttle at 5:15pm on May 12 (see "Transport" below).

TRANSPORT
Please note that transport to the Conference Centre will not be provided. After the conference, we will provide a shuttle bus to Frankfurt Airport and Frankfurt Central Station (departing at approx. 5:15 p.m. on 12 May). Please RSVP for the shuttle in the attendee details survey (linked in the confirmation email after registering).

TAXI AND PUBLIC TRANSPORT 
The journey from Frankfurt Airport to the Conference Centre takes about 30 minutes by taxi and costs around €70.

Eltville is served by the train line Frankfurt am Main/Wiesbaden/Koblenz. The Conference Centre is 1.2 km from Eltville train station. There is a taxi stand in front of the station.
