A sample space is the set of all possible outcomes. In our case, we have a bag that contains seven balls; these balls are numbered from one to seven. We’re gonna choose one at random, and we wanna know what is the sample space. What is the range of outcomes here?
We know that no matter what, we’re gonna choose a number from one to seven. Our sample space is a list, a set, of all the possible outcomes. Here, we can have one, two, three, four, five, six, or seven, no more or no less; these are our only options. These range of options create our sample space.
