Co-operative Commonwealth Federation, otherwise known as The CCF, is a Tawwassian Left-Wing Libertarian political party, as well as the governing political party within the Confederacy of Tawwassen, along with the United Front (Including the Labour Alliance, Democratic-Farmer-Labour Party, and the Christian Left Party). It was founded in 1932 in Calgary, Alberta, by a number of socialist, agrarian, co-operative, and labour groups, only to be dissolved in 1961.

During the Gastown Convention, a meeting of New Democratic Party members in the Gastown neighborhood of Vancouver, the CCF would be reestablished, and would later merge with the Black Flag Federation and National Trade Federation in 2017. The party follows the principles of worker-self management, mutual aid, federalism and direct democracy. It played a crucial role in the resurgence of the labour movement in Canada, as well as the Canadian Civil War.

The Party's de facto leader since 2007 has been Anthony McGuinness, although his role is closer to that of a spokesman than anything else. Instead, the CCF operates along the lines of horizontal organization.

The CCF have close ties to Libertarian Socialist and Anarchist groups around the world, specifically the Industrial Workers' of the World, International Workers' Association, and International of Anarchist Federations, as well as being a Consultative Member of the Socialist International. They also are outspoken in favour of the Syrian Democratic Union Party, the PKK and other Socialist/Anarchist movements within Syrian Kurdistan, and the EZLN in Mexico.

Ideology

While the CCF is largely referred to as being a Libertarian Socialist, Anarcho-Syndicalist organization, the majority of party members truly follows what it calls Kingsleyism, named after Canadian Socialist E.T. Kingsley, who is largely considered to be the CCF's ideological forefather. It holds a number of principles in common with other Libertarian Socialist, Libertarian Marxist, and certain Anarchist tendencies.

The ideology is based on the thoughts of Canadian Socialists E.T. Kingsley, Anthony McGuinness, American philosophers Rudolf Rocker and Murray Bookchin, and the ideas expressed by other radical members of the New Democratic Party during the Gastown Convention in 2007. It also claims to have a heavy focus on Canadian First Nations rights, and the importance of preserving their culture and traditions, so long as in doing so they do not come in conflict with the parties more progressive ideals.

Kingsleyism itself is largely derived from libertarian socialism, anarcho-syndicalism, anarcho-communism, individualist anarchism, communalism, left-libertarianism, and direct democracy. It's key principles include:

Pro and Anti

Pro: Libertarian Socialism, Syndicalism, Democratic Confederalism, Environmentalism, Feminism, Abortion, Right to Bear Arms, Drug Legalization, Proletarian Internationalism, Autonomous Kurdistan, Palestine, Aboriginal Rights, Secularism, Direct Democracy, Libertarian Municipalism, Personal Property Rights, Consensus Democracy, Workers' Self Management, Platformism, Direct Action

Neutral: Marxist-Leninism, Maoism, Social Liberalism, Social Democracy

Anti: Capitalism, Liberalism, Conservatism, Religious Fundamentalism, Juche, Imperialism, United States, Fascism, Racism, Sexism, Israel, Globalism, Corporatism, Monarchism, Nationalism, Colonialism, Wahhabism, Free Market, Radical Centrism, Skeptic Movement, Alt-Right, Private Property Rights, Free Trade, NATO

Internal Factions

Kingsleyists - The Kingsleyist Faction is by far the most dominant faction of CCF, and is composed of Libertarian Marxists and Socialists more inline with the philosophy of the CCF Black Guards and other rebel groups formed during the Civil War. They are socially progressive, economically syndicalist, and tend to support maintaining the All-National Congress in it's current form; limited in it's function but still an entity to unite the Confederacy and oversee certain aspects of society. The Kingsleyists support a left-wing market economy, combined with horizontal organization of labour. The current President, Anthony McGuinness, identifies with the Kingsleyist faction.

Anarchists - The second most prominent faction in the party, the Anarchists follow are far more radical platform of Anarcho-Communism. They advocate progressive policies, and tend to be more critical of Tawwassen's current left-wing market economy, although even within the faction itself opinion varies drastically. One issue the Anarchists are particularly adamant on is to limit the power of the All-National Congress significantly more, and speak to further dissolve the party system. Notable Anarchists included the Deputy President Lawrence Brooks, and the First Lady Bailey Osborne.

Gastown CCF - A significantly smaller faction, the Gastown CCF tends to be considered more moderate than the rest of the CCF. It's membership claims to follow the ideology formed during the Gastown Convention in 2007, being more inline with Democratic Socialism and soft Left-Libertarianism. They support granting more power to the All-National Congress, and take a centrist stance on most social issues. Economically, the Old Commonwealth tends to advocate a more mixed market economy, composed of both cooperative and private enterprises.

International Affiliation

The CCF is one of the founding members of American Libertarian Commonwealth (ALC), an alliance of Libertarian Socialist and Anarchist Organizations across North America. Member Organizations include the Fédération Coopérative du Québec (Quebec Co-Operative Federation), the Workers' Solidarity Alliance, and smaller groups mostly based in the United States. The AFAS also allegedly supports the Canadian National Liberation Army, a terrorist organization based in fascist Canada.

The CCF itself was admitted as a consultative member of the Socialist International, despite being critical of the organization because of it's Social Democratic policies. It is also a member of the International Workers' Association, an organization of anarcho-syndicalist trade unions and movements.
