Changing Forget-me-not - Myosotis discolor

Low to short hairy, rather slender plant. Stem leaves often have at least one pair opposite. The tiny flowers (1-2mm) are pale yellow or cream at first becoming pink violet or blue.

Annual; calyx hairs sticking out and either hooked or curved; pedicels (flower-stalks) shorter than fruiting calyx; corolla cream to yellow at first with tube longer than calyx

Bare open grassy places.

May to September.

Annual.

Widespread throughout Britain, though rarely common.

Occasional and one of the less common Forget-me-nots in Leicestershire and Rutland. In the 1979 Flora survey of Leicestershire it was found in 35 of the 617 tetrads.
