Marco Belinelli, new player for Virtus Bologna

Virtus Bologna has made official the signing of former San Antonio Spurs player, Marco Belinelli, for the next 2020-21 season, the Italian club reported through its social networks.

«The Virtus project is a project that interested me immediately. A very stimulating project in which I am sure I will be able to contribute a lot," highlighted Belinelli.

After 13 seasons in the NBA, the Italian shooter returns to Serie A where he already played between 2002 and 2007 for Virtus and Fortitudo de Bologna respectively. Selected in 18th place in the first round of the 2007 Draft by the Golden State Warriors, he has gone through the Oakland franchise, Toronto, Chicago, New Orleans, San Antonio in two stages, Sacramento, Charlotte, Atlanta and Philadelphia.

Winner of the ring and the Three-Point Contest in 2014, he has averages of 9,7 points, 2,1 rebounds, 1,7 assists, and 37,6% in three-pointers in 860 official games.
