Delaney Ruth joined NBC4 as a multimedia journalist in January 2023. She was born and raised in Ohio and is excited to be in the state’s capital city!
Before joining NBC4, Delaney was a multimedia journalist and producer at 13abc Action News in Toledo. She took a special interest in telling stories about Ukrainian refugees escaping their war-torn country.
Delaney is from Stow, Ohio, outside Akron. She graduated from Ohio University’s E.W. Scripps School of Journalism with a degree in broadcast journalism and a minor in political science (OU, oh yeah!). While in Athens, Delaney worked as a reporter, anchor and producer for WOUB Public Media’s daily newscast, Newswatch. During her college years, she lived in New York for a semester, interning at the TODAY Show.
When she isn’t out covering local news, Delaney enjoys visiting local restaurants, boutiques and coffee shops. If you see her out and about, make sure to say hi and tell her your favorite Columbus spot!
