A bipartisan group of lawmakers is looking to pass the Antisemitism Awareness Act, which would make certain language and chants, such as those heard at recent pro-Palestinian protests at college campuses, punishable under federal anti-discrimination law. On NewsNation's "Elizabeth Vargas Reports," Rep. Tim Walberg, R-Mich., says the student protests nationwide at U.S. universities are normalizing antisemitism.

Multiple people were fatally shot, including a U.S. Marshal and officers from two other agencies, and some injured Monday in Charlotte, North Carolina, while serving a warrant. Art Broderick, former U.S. Marshals Service assistant director, discussed the shooting and what goes into these types of operations. "One of the toughest jobs in law enforcement is to go after an individual that knows they're wanted and does not want to go back to jail," Broderick said on "NewsNation Now."

At a news conference Tuesday, Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson laid out plans for what he says will be a crackdown on antisemitism at colleges and universities. The "whole of House" effort, as Johnson calls it, will include hearings with schools like Yale and UCLA to see how they deal with the issues as well as potential tax probes and financial investigations.
