29, 1931, in Des Moines to L.A. and Mabel (Linderoth) Beaumont She moved to Davenport at age 12 and graduated from Davenport High School in 1949. She married Alan Jansen in 1953. They had two children. Bev moved to Arkansas in 1992 and had been working at Gaston's White River Resort.

She is survived by her mother; two brothers, Greg (Joan) Beaumont, of Colorado, and Rick Beaumont, of Florida; two children, Chris (David Gusaas) Jansen, of Davenport, and Jeff (Sally) Jansen, of Cross Plains; and five grandchildren. She enjoyed her family, traveling, reading, and playing cards. Army. On August 16, 1969, he married Geneva Riggs in Chicago, Illinois. He retired from Wagner's Printers in Davenport in 1993. His memberships include Davenport Elk's Lodge 298 and he was a lifetime member of the Craftsman's Club. He was an avid golfer.

Survivors include his wife, Geneva; children, Dot (Jake) Richards, Robert (Mary) Riggs, Tammy (Jon) Kettleson, Cindy Riggs and Mike Webb; 10 grandchildren; three greatgrandchildren; and a brother, Richard Green, residing in South Carolina. Lyle was born September 24, 1916, in Summum, Illinois, to Harvey and Bertha (Sowers) Harmon. He attended National Youth Association's vocational school in Mattoon, Illinois, where he played on the school's baseball team. He served with the U.S.

Army in the Pacific Theater during World War II. Lyle married Darlene Harkey on September 15, 1951, in Rock Island. She died September 20, 2004. He was employed as a precision grinder at Montgomery Elevator Company's Escalator Plant for 19 years, retiring in 1980. He previously worked for J.I.

Case in Rock Island for 16 years, and at the Rock Island Arsenal for two' years. He attended St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Milan. He enjoyed reading, the outdoors, family history, and especially watching his grandchildren play sports. Lyle is survived by four children and their spouses, Dale and Kelly Harmon, of Moline, Amy and Bruce Hunt, of Coal Valley, Eileen and Larry Tysma, of Hillsdale, and Melanie and David Flickinger, of Milan; eight grandchildren, Christopher Thrap Kyle and Alyssa Harmon, Emily and Jacob Tysma, Wyatt and Lilah Flickinger, and Madeleine Hunt; three step-grandchildren; and one great-grandson, Christopher Thrap III.

He was preceded in death by his wife, a daughter, Colleen Harmon, one brother, two sisters, three half brothers, and two half sisters. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He served on the USS Coral SeaAnzio CVE 57 for three years in the South Pacific Theater. During this time he represented his ship in boxing and later was a Golden Gloves boxer. He married Amber Riecke on June 14, 1947, in Rock Island.

For many years, Warren co-owned and operated H. and H. Music Moline, with his brother. Following his retirement from the music company, he served as Director of Civil Defense for Rock Island County He also served as a precinct committeeman. His memberships included the Rock Island Elks Club, Viking Club, Moline, Moline American Legion Post 246, Moline VFW Post 2153, 40 8 Voiture 237, and Oakwood Country Club, Coal Valley.

He was an avid golfer. At Oak-wood, he was a club champion and also achieved a hole-in-one. His other interests included traveling, in general, and in his R.V., and boating. Thursday, February 24. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Wayne was born August 17, 1918, in Lake Andes, South Dakota, son of Walter A. Newport and Catherine (Cook) Newport. He spent most of his life in the Davenport area.

After graduating from Davenport Central High School, Wayne graduated from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, class of 1941. He served in World War II as a gunnery officer and later as Lieutenant Commander of destroyers, the USS Porter and the USS Gregory On May 31, 1942, he married Mereda Best in Berkeley, California. After the war they moved back to Iowa where he attended the University of Iowa law school, graduating in the spring of 1952. He set up practice with his brother Walter and served many people in Davenport and the surrounding rural areas as their attorney for 50 years. Wayne and Mereda and their children lived in Davenport, Bettendorf and Pleasant Valley.

They were active members of the Community of Christ Church, where Wayne served as Patriarch. Wayne was past president of the Iowa Chapter of the American Cancer Society and served that organization for many years. Wayne and Mereda enjoyed 56 years of happiness together. After Mereda's death, Wayne married Betty Nyberg. They divided their time between Bettendorf and Sun City, Arizona.

Last October they celebrated their 5th wedding anniversary. In spite of Wayne declining health, they continued to enjoy spending time with their families, friends and one another. Wayne is survived by his wife, Betty; his children, Sharon woman and enjoyed riding competitively. After grade school in a one-room country school house, she went to high school in nearby Davenport, Iowa, graduating in 1950. Arlene was an excellent student.

After she graduated from high school, she went to work for the school board as secretary to the Davenport High School football coach and athletic director. On April 6, 1952, she married sportscaster, Milo Hamilton. They would have celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary in a few weeks. Arlene was a member of the United Methodist Church. She was also an avid bridge player and reached the degree of silver life master in 2003.

Arlene was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Milo Hamilton; her daughter, Patricia Joy Hamilton Watson (72153) of Baldwin, Georgia; her son, Mark Edwin Milo Hamilton (92955) of Roswell, Georgia; and her two older sisters, Phyllis Wahlig of Davenport, Iowa, and Kate Dittmer of Eldridge, Iowa. Thursday at the Wheelan- Sally Ann Ward KERRVILLE, Texas Born in Davenport, Iowa, to Walter Steffen and Roberta Roberts Steffen, Sally graduated from Davenport High School in 1957 and married James Theodore Miller in November of the same year. They moved around the United States with his employment as a newspaper printer. Sally gave birth to their first daughter, Linda, in New York and they finally settled in Riverside, California, where they had another daughter, Deanna, and a set of twins, Deborah and Donald, before divorcing. Sally spent brief years in Glendale and Huntington Beach, California, where she became a respiratory therapist. She was involved in a second marriage before finding her soul mate and current surviving husband, Francis (Frank) Marion Ward, that included a joyous addition and adoption of Frank's daughter and two granddaughters.

Sally and Frank spent the majority of their years together in RiversideSan Bernardino County, splitting their time between their home in Yucaipa and their retreat home in Sky Valley of Desert Hot SpringsPalm Springs area of California before retiring to their Sky Valley home.
