This week I’m spotlighting changes in Waverly in 1978.

The first photo shows West Emmitt Avenue at the state Route 104 split. It was taken before the median was cleared of grass and paved. This was also before McDonalds and Pizza Hut were built just past the Big Bear grocery store. The tree just beyond the store sign is about where McDonalds is located now.
