The Lobster Roll Debate

Lobster Rolls are a classic summer seafood treat, hailing from New England, but beloved across the country. But which lobster roll recipe is the one for you?

The most popular debate is between the “Maine” Lobster Roll, prepared cold with mayonnaise, and the “Connecticut” Lobster Roll, made warm with butter. No matter which side of the debate you land on, we’ll break down a simple and delicious recipe for both. But of course, without the Lobster, you have no Lobster Roll. Order from our Online Seafood Shop and get the best Lobster Meat delivered next-day to your doorstep.

2 lbs. Hand-picked Claw and Knuckle Meat

Cold Maine Lobster Roll

Regarded as the “Classic” Lobster roll recipe, this lobster roll is so refreshing and made with just a few ingredients: Mayo, White Pepper, Kosher Salt, diced Celery, and of course the star of the show – Premium Claw and Knuckle Lobster Meat, served on a grilled golden brown hot dog roll. Perfecto!

Warm Connecticut Lobster Roll

This roll stands in stark contrast to the Maine Lobster roll, but many would argue it’s just as delicious (douse anything in butter and you can’t really go wrong…). Prepared with similar ingredients as it’s cold counterpart, we add lemon zest to brighten up the butter with some nice citrus flavor.
