Leafs are bilobed on both the top and bottom of this liverwort giving them a pod-like appearance.

Distribution: temperate and subtropical northern hemisphere

Habitat: epiphytic or saxicolous (found here on shaded rock)

Distinctive Characters: complicate-bilobed leaves with bilobed underleaves

Similar Species: Radula is similar but lacks underleaves.
