Shanna Moakler in a statement to People gave her blessing to ex-husband Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian after the Blink-182 drummer and reality star married Monday in a private Las Vegas ceremony.
“Congratulations to the happy couple,” the “Meet the Barkers”cast member, 47, said in her statement. “I wish them the best that life has to offer on their journey together.”
Moakler and the musician, 46, who were married from 2004 to 2008, share 16-year-old daughter Alabama and 18-year-old son Landon. Kardashian has three children from her relationship to Scott Disick.
Barker’s marriage to Kardashian, 41, is his third. He and Melissa Kennedy were married for just under a year, from late September 2001 to early August 2002.
Barker and the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star tied the knot at One Love Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas, in a roughly 15-minute ceremony just after 1:40 a.m. local time Monday, chapel owner Marty Frierson told the Daily News Tuesday.
“As far as I know, they had [a wedding license],” said Frierson. “The officiant deals with that. I’m the owner of the chapel, and they came in with an envelope. I don’t deal with the license.”
Frierson noted that the couple “came in, kissed a little bit in the hallway,” of the 24-hour chapel before they “went to Elvis, and Elvis sang three songs to her. They danced and kissed, and then after the ceremony they walked out and threw the fresh roses.”
