Iconic country music stars Johnny Cash and June Carter had a romantic love story, inspiring a Hollywood movie and hit crossover songs. Carter and Cash first met at the Grand Ole Opry in July 1956, while Carter was still married to singer Carl Smith. Cash proposed to Carter onstage during a show in Feb. 1968, and they were married a few weeks later on March 1. The couple had one child together, John Carter Cash. The two stayed together the rest of their lives, dying just four months apart in 2003. Look back at the famous music love story.
