Steve Coogan has had an incredibly successful career - there's no doubt about it.
From first breaking onto the scene as a young voice actor in the 1980s to being responsible for one of the most famous comedy characters in British television, Alan Partridge, his work in showbiz over the years has earned him a rack of nominations and prizes for a number of prestigious accolades.
Aside from Partridge, his involvement in 2013's Philiomena, which he co wrote and produced was a particular career highlight. In fact, it was this film that he earned said nominations at the Golden Globes, BAFTA, and Academy Awards.
Steve's most recent role was in the BBC One series, The Reckoning, where he played the disgraced British television presenter and sex offender, Jimmy Saville.

Steve has one daughter, Clare, who he shares with his ex partner, solicitor Anna Cole. The pair were together for four years before calling it quits.
In terms of Clare, little is known about her. However, in 2019, she did attend the BAFTAs with her father after he received the nomination for his portrayal of comedian Stan Laurel in Stan and Ollie.

Steve appeared alongside John C. Reilly during the 2018 film, and despite missing out on the top prize - the Best Actor award went to Rami Malek for Bohemian Rhapsody - it was a major success.
At the Box Office, it grossed $29 million.

Steve created the character of Alan Partridge while he was working on Radio 4 comedy show, On the Hour. The role would be one he'd reprise for years, and also what he became mostly known for.

Up until 2017, when he wasn't screenwriting, acting, or attending showbiz events, Steve resided in a small East Sussex town, called Ovingdean.
