Oklahoma actor Christian Kane will be a guest star on the hotly anticipated 15th and final season of the hit CW series "Supernatural."

According to EW.com, Kane, who grew up in Norman, has been tapped to play Leo Webb, a former hunter of monsters, demons and other supernatural beings and a friend of Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles).

EW's Samantha Highfill notes that the fact that Leo is a “former hunter” who knows Dean without mention of younger brother Sam (Jared Padalecki) could mean that Kane's character knows the Dean from his hunting days with the Winchester patriarch, back before Dean showed up in Sam’s dorm room.

It's not been revealed Kane will show up on "Supernatural" Season 15 or whether he’ll play into a case of the week or have a longer arc, according to EW.

"Supernatural" returns for its final season at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10 on The CW.

As previously reported, Kane, who has co-starred in the TV shows "The Librarians," "Leverage" and "Angel," has an upcoming starring role in a new series called "Almost Paradise" as Alex Walker, a former U.S. DEA agent who was forced into early retirement. Deadline Hollywood reported back in spring that WGN America has acquired 10 episodes of the drama series "Almost Paradise" from Electric Entertainment.
