Found in the Andaman Islands in littoral forests, inland forests and along roadsides as a small sized, hot growing epiphyte with a stout rhizome with 2.4 to 3.2" [6 to 8 cm] between each thickly ellipsoid, furrowed, subcompressed pseudobulbs carrying 3 to 5, elliptic-lanceolate, acute-obtuse, shortly petiolate base leaves that blooms in the later spring on a basal, erect, 3 to 4" [7.5 to 10 cm] long, 3 to 4 flowered inflorescence
