Common Name Tashiro's Odontochilus - In China Tai Wan Chi Chun Lan
Flower Size 3/4" [1.85 cm]
Found in Vietnam and Taiwan in closed humid broad-leaved forests on rocky limestone at elevations of 500 to 1700 meters as a small sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with an ascending stem carrying 4 to 7 distant, uniform green, ovate to ovate-oblong, slightly oblique, petiolate base leaves that blooms in the spring and summer on an erect, peduncle green tinged reddish brown, 2 to 3.2" [5 to 8 cm] long, rachis .8 to 2.4" [2 to 6 cm] long, pubescent, laxly 3 to 10 flowered inflorescence with narrowly ovate, acuminate, finely pubescent, slightly shorter than the ovary floral bracts carrying erect, non-resupinate flowers
