0 2,171

Today’s owner review is exciting as it portrays how talented the Pakistani people are. We have with us a Suzuki Bolan, but this is no ordinary Bolan. This specific Bolan has been converted from a full gasoline van to an EV in 1 month. We’re as mesmerized as you are. So, without further ado, join us as we inquire about the owner of this project.

Electric Setup

The owner has installed a 20KW lithium iron phosphate setup, imported from China, in this project that produces a maximum speed of 100 km/h with a range of around 200 km. The idea was generated owing to increasing fuel prices. Moreover, a unique Android application has also been developed to duplicate meter information on mobile phones. In total, the setup has 2,000 charging cycles.

Safety

Thanks to the lithium iron phosphate cell, the battery package is highly safe and does not pose any threats of bursting.

Modifications

To adjust the batteries of 200 Ah at 96W under the rear seat, the cabin height has been slightly increased. Moreover, the seats have been modified to accommodate commercial utility. Also, the EV Bolan is stocked with an external fast charger and an internal charger. The fast charger can charge the EV in about 2 hours.

Furthermore, this Bolan also has a custom-built touch-sensitive digital meter that portrays information regarding trip meter, speed, Battery and motor temperature, range, and total distance traveled. Other than that, a reverse camera and regenerative braking are also present. The owner also aims to add a range extender in the coming phases of this project to ensure increased utility from the EV Bolan.

Estimated Price

Though the project is in its prototype phase, hypothetically, with respect to current inflation, the expected price could be around Rs. 2.5 to 3 million.
