HENRY COUNTY, Ind. — A Greens Fork man was fatally injured Wednesday morning in a head-on collision.

Kyle Beckman, 34, was flown by medical helicopter to an Indianapolis hospital, according to an Indiana State Police news release. Police later announced that Beckman had died of his injuries. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

The accident occurred about 8:40 a.m. Wednesday on Henry County Road 300-W, north of Henry County Road 50-N.

Preliminary investigation by Master Trooper Scott Keegan indicates Stacie Boykin, 46, of New Castle was driving a silver Ford Explorer northbound on 300-W when she crested a hill left of center, the release said. The Explorer struck Beckman's southbound Honda Accord head on in the southbound lane.

Boykin, whose Explorer ended up on its side, was taken to Henry Community Health in New Castle with non-life-threatening injuries.

The accident remains under investigation.

The Henry County Sheriff's Department, Henry County EMS and Harrison Township Fire Department assisted the state police at the scene.
