"Based on the height, he could probably do a 140 to a 148cm board. If he is a beginner, go with the lower end of that, and the higher end would be if he has some experience."

"There are a couple of different factors that determine the size of the board that you need. Using the generic estimates I would recommend a size 160. But that could vary depending on your experience and riding style. "

"This board has a pretty soft flex so this will be easy to control the board but its really responsive so you can definitely have fun with it. This is an all mountain board that you can take and explore everywhere which is great for a beginner rider."

"A flex rating tells you how bendable the board is. As a beginner, you are good to go with this board which has a flex of 4. This means that it is softer so it's going to be easier to maneuver. You can also check out our selection of Freestyle snowboards which are good choices for beginners."
