Height: This perennial that grows from a bulb will grow up to 3 to 4 ft. tall.

Habitat: Grows well in many soil types, full to part sun.

Foliage: Broad green leaves.

Flowers: Many, star-shaped blue to purple or whitish flowers form on a tall stock.

Natural Habitat: Found in damp meadows of North America.
