Benumbed. Poem by Akhila Viswambharan

Benumbed.

Rating: 5.0

Gazing at incertitude,
With a sense bereft of attitude,
I see concentricles all over,
And never bother to ponder.
When people make stances,
About my new chances,
I burrow myself into books,
Not even to care ’bout my looks.
I lose myself in the pages,
Wishing i dont get lost for ages.
For parties or celebrations,
Mind constantly in deliberations,
I hear a tune in my head,
One they play when presidents are dead.
Galore of lyrics of songs i store,
Dusty up during the chore,
Never a page ever turned,
They remained shelved untuned.
Unending ordeal of mine,
Driving my senses inane,
You see the world go dumb?
And lo, this world in me go numb!

To remove the sense of feeling from a faculty or part of the body and deaden the emotions when one sees the worldly insolency is somewhat a natural behaviour that a man may experience in life.............The essence of this poem seem to have originated from your truthful innerself and you have put it in very good words...................10/10 BesT Wishes Saneer
